Bama QB Hurts visiting Maryland, Miami

Jalen Hurts officially began his search Friday for his next college football home.Hurts, the Alabama quarterback who announced Wednesday that he has entered the NCAA transfer portal, on Friday made Maryland his first stop, and also has scheduled a weekend trip to Miami, according to an ESPN source.The junior graduate transfer, who will be eligible to play next season, planned to attend the Maryland basketball game against Indiana on Friday night. The Terrapins head football coach is Mike Locksley, who was Alabama’s offensive coordinator in 2018.Dan Enos, the quarterback coach at Alabama who worked closely with Hurt, was hired Friday to be offensive coordinator of the Miami Hurricanes.Oklahoma reportedly also has shown interest in Hurts after Sooners quarterback Austin Kendall entered the transfer portal on Friday.
