Kansas PG McBride leaving school

Kansas freshman Isaac McBride is withdrawing from the university and looking to play elsewhere.Coach Bill Self made the announcement on Friday night, and McBride confirmed the news on social media.”I decided the program was not a good fit for me,” McBride wrote in part, reiterating what Self said. “I will continue to pursue a future basketball career.”McBride, a point guard from Little Rock, Ark., signed with the Jayhawks last November and arrived in Kansas in June. He was the nation’s No. 137 prospect in the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite.McBride was expected to back up starting point guard Devon Dotson this season.In announcing his decision, McBride made no mention of a notice of allegation from the NCAA citing major recruiting violations in the program that Kansas is expected to receive.
